Hi, I’m Dan Gray, photographer and owner at Gray Noise, which I established in 2003. I photograph people and events for business, with a network of experienced professionals I engage as required.
My studio is in Chippendale, a few kilometres from Sydney CBD, but I also work on location.
Before training as a photographer I was a web and multimedia designer. I worked for two small start-ups and two large corporations. I was also partner in a successful online fashion store for five years.
My background lead me to specialise in servicing business and commercial clients. Today these clients include: the Children’s Medical Research Institute (Jeans for Genes Day), Gilbert + Tobin Lawyers, the Outdoor Media Association, Centuria Capital, Marsh, TSA Management, Probuild, TABCorp, Thomson Reuters, Finity, Kane Constructions and more.
I’m passionate about photography, film, music and art. Lately I’ve been getting into video too. In 2015, I was fortunate to win the HeadOn Moving Image Prize for my short film Stereotypes. In 2017, with the help of an amazing team, I directed and co-produced my first TV Commercial, for Jeans for Genes Day. You can see both in the Video section.
I have a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) with a major in Film & Electronic Media Production, and a Certificate III in Photography.
